Go Uncle Ben!!

This past Sunday the three of us went down to High Point to watch Uncle Ben play golf.  We were all really excited to get to see Uncle Ben play since we have not gotten to see him playing golf as a Wolf :)

Emery got to “watch” the back nine because she slept for a lot of it thanks to her awesome Daddy that strolled her around so I could watch my baby brother play the last nine holes :)

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

We have been spending A LOT of time outside in the gorgeous weather when Brad and I get home from work.  Emery loves to throw ball with Lucy, get thrown into the air by daddy, climb up the slide and then slide down, climb on top of the picnic table and say “ta da”, kick soccer, “wing” aka swing, and to push her baby on the swing.  She is at such a fun age right now.  I feel like she’s learning something new every day!! She really understands when we talk to her, and she REALLY has a STRONG will of her own.  Let’s just say that when she does not want to hold Mommy’s hand (which is ALL THE TIME), she will literally lay down on the floor and scream…oh boy.   Here are some fun pictures of us playing outside a week ago :)

My 24th Birthday

A couple weeks ago I celebrated my 24th birthday.  I love me a good birthday celebration :)  On my birthday we went to dinner with the Dowdy’s at Cheddar’s, I got a yummy and cute candy bouquet at work from Mom and my sweet sister Riley, and then we celebrated with family the next weekend.

The Tweedy’s

We had such a great time at Cam and Wayne’s wedding!! There was lots of fun music and dancing, great food, fun people, and even a visit from the Hokie Bird :)  During the reception I may have said “We need a picture of Sam and Emery so we can show it at their wedding” to which Emily said “YES!”, and Chris and Brad said “Oh my gosh”.

Cam looked GORGEOUS…and Wayne you’re not so bad yourself!

Apple Pickin’

The rest of the weekends this fall are BOOKED for the Collins family, so we decided to take advantage of our free morning this morning, and go to the Apple Barn for some apple pickin' :)

Emery LOVED it!  She thought the apples were balls, so she kept saying “ball! ball! ball!”.  Then we told her she could bite it, and it was food, which she thought was even better!!  I’ll let the pictures do the talkin!

Go Knights!

Emery and I are pleased to introduce you to Cave Spring High School’s new Varsity Boys’ soccer coach!!  We happen to think he is PRETTY great! :)

084

We are so proud of you Brad!  You have put the work in, and now your time has come.  There is no doubt in my mind that you will do an awesome new thing at Cave Spring in and through those boys.  I am so excited to see how God is going to use you there.

Emery and I promise to support you by coming to your games rain or shine, hot or cold, and screaming obnoxiously loud and cheering on your team.  We promise to purchase unnecessary amounts of red and black to wear to the games and there will probably be some smocking involved, for Emery of course (Emily already gave Emery a black and red tutu to wear).  We promise to eat lots of fast food in order to make it to the aforementioned games at least close to on time, or before the second half starts.  We promise not to complain all that much about sharing you with 18 or so boys.  We promise to pray for you and with you, and we promise to be your NUMBER ONE FANS!! We love you, and we cannot wait to become Cave Spring Knight fans!!
