One Month

Emery,

I cannot believe you are already 1 month old, it seems like just yesterday you were born (could I be anymore cliche? haha). You have changed so incredibly much over the past month. Here are some of your stats...

-You are still wearing Newborn diapers, but when we run out of those you're going to start using size one's.

-You can still fit most of your Newborn clothes (although some are a little snug), and you can also wear most of your 0-3 month clothes (and some of them are a little baggy).

-Poor girl, you have developed reflux within the past two weeks. At first we thought it could be something more serious, but we've pretty much decided its just reflux. Although you're in pain a lot of the time, you're still a pretty happy baby.

-You really enjoy your swing, and that gives Mommy time to shower or do the dishes or sometimes even sneak in a nap :)

-You are UNBELIEVABLY strong. You can hold your neck up when you're on your back and when you're on your stomach for extended periods of time. You love to lift your neck up, and then smack it down on Mommy and Daddy's neck.

-You've watched a lot of soccer in your first month of life, and you're pretty impressed with how good Daddy is! :)

-You have also been to church and you really like how loud the worship is :)

-You LOVE bath time, especially when we pour the warm water over your head to wash your LOOONG hair.

-You go to bed at 11 and usually sleep until around 4 or 5, eat, and then go back to sleep until around 8 or 9...unless you've gotten sick that night, then you don't usually sleep well.

-You are a BIG eater, but in order to reduce your reflux we've cut back on your feeding time, and you're not a big fan of that. Later today Daddy will give you your first bottle.

Sweet baby girl you are SO loved by lots and lots of family and friends. Daddy and I could stare at you all day long. I'm amazed by how well God loves us, and you are just a perfect example of that...he knew that you were just what we needed! We cannot imagine our life without you pretty girl!
